./configure bug

ok this is off the CVS balsa from a few minutes ago...
(mind you I cant get 4.6.2 to compile either, due to problems in ITS
configure script....)

not that it is relevant to this problem but I have
gtk 1.1.15
glib 1.1.15
gnome 0.99.7

well here is what happened...

[root@sparky balsa]# aclocal
aclocal: configure.in: 19: macro `AM_ACLOCAL_INCLUDE' not found in library
[root@sparky balsa]# autoconf 
[root@sparky balsa]# ./configure 
creating cache ./config.cache
./configure: line 524: syntax error near unexpected token `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'
./configure: line 524: `AM_CONFIG_HEADER(config.h)'

the relevant lines of .../balsa/configure are:
' ac_t='	'
  else
    ac_n=-n ac_c= ac_t=
  fi

  ac_n= ac_c='\c' ac_t=
fi

BALSA_REVISION=4
