Crash when attaching files. bug?

when i try to attack afile either by drag and drop or by using the menu, balsa crashes.
i can receive file attachemtns perfectly though.
i compiled with redhat linux 6.0 on a Alpha Chip system.
Balsa seems to work fine except for this. Any ideas?
