Re: Any question you wanna put in questionnaire for attendees?

Bob:

We (me and CC Lien) are going to prepare the questionnaire for attendees
of COSCUP / GNOME.Asia 2010. Besides the general questions about the
program, food, venue, and overall satisfaction, do you have any question
wanna put in the questionnaire?

I think it would be good to get some demographic information to find
out the person's age, male/female, whether they are a student or
professional, male/female, etc. It would be interesting to see how
responses relate to demographics.

I think it would be interesting to get some feedback about people's
thoughts about free and open software, and about the GNOME desktop.
This sort of information would be very valuable to the GNOME community
and would help us to improve the GNOME desktop and future GNOME.Asia
events.

1. How much do you like free software?
(a scale from very positive to very negative)

2. How much do you like open software?
(a scale from very positive to very negative)

3. Have you ever used the GNOME free desktop?
    (Yes/No)

4. What OS do you primarily use?
    (fill in the blank)

5. What Desktop do you primarily use?
    (fill in the blank)

6. If you do not use the GNOME desktop primarily, why? Is it because
of missing features, the need to use proprietary software,
difficulty to install, hardware support, or other reason(s)?
    (fill in the blank)

7. What is your impression of the GNOME Desktop?
(a scale from very positive to very negative)

8. Did the COSCUP/GNOME.Asia conference improve your opinion of the
    GNOME desktop?
    (Yes/No)

9. Would you like to see more collaborative events between the
open source and free source communities like COSCUP/GNOME.Asia?
(a scale from very positive to very negative)

10. Would you be interested in joining a GNOME User's Group?
    (Yes/No)

11. If you would be interested in joining a Taiwan GNOME User's Group,
could we share your email contact information with the Taiwain
User's Group organizers to provide you with more information
about how to participate and upcoming activities?
    (Yes/No)

Those are just some suggestions. What do other people think?

Also, would it be possible for the Questionnaire to be relesed under
a Creative Commons license, so it is clear it can be used as a
template for other events in the future? It might be useful to use
a similar questionnaire for future GNOME.Asia events, for example.

Thanks,

Brian
