Re: GNOME.Asia Website

morning again,

Well I don't personally mind about seeing Vietnamese in my inbox, but having the abilities to add anyone you want on your mailing list when you need it, might make sense.

I don't know what the rest of the group thinks.

Hi Fred,

I think that some things are easier to manage in Vietnamese for us.
For example, like the translation project, or volunteers coordination.
I just want to avoid to spam the mailing list with emails not everyone
understands.

Hi!

Why not use this mailing list? That's exactly its purpose and you'd benefit
from the experiences of people who have already organized 10's of
conferences like this. I don't see the point to divide the information.

I am setting up a mailing list, where we can discuss and share ideas
on how to take care of local activities specifically.

Thank you,

Dear Joey,

thanks a lot for switching the site. We are working on the translations
already.

Today, we had a meet up with the organizers of Software Freedom Day in
Ho Chi Minh City. Alltgether we were 12 people. The feedback was
pretty good and I am looking forward to get more people involved in
the Summit preparation.

Keeping up the good spirit - also thanks to your and Wills work on the
website :-)

All the best,

Mario

Hello,

I wanted to let everybody know, since it has been suggested that the
website
is ready to be live, I have now put the new website up as
www.gnome.asia
as
well as 2009.gnome.asia. The old one is still available at
2008.gnome.asia
as well. I will be working on fixing more of the items presented on
live.gnome.org in the coming week, so the site will be slowly improving
in
the next few days!

Thank you everybody for your contributions on the website, and let's
keep it
going!
