I haven't had a chance to look around much yet, so you may have
already done this, but it might be nice to have something like
"resolution independent" or "all resolutions" next to SVG for those
that don't have a clue what SVG is.

I'm not a big fan of popups, but they seem to work well for this
purpose. Those on gnome-looks.org are especially nice because if there
are several screenshots (preview images, whatever), there are
thumbnails for those as well in the popped up window. That way you
don't have to keep going to the original page to click on each
thumbnail individually.
