[Anjuta-list] Linking a signal handler in anjuta/glade under C++

how does one link a signal  in  anjuta/glade
using C++ I tried setting the name of the
signal handler in glade but that doesn't
make a difference 
I'm using Anjuta 2.2.0 and glade3 3.02  and I used the
GTKmm template in the new project dialog
