Hi!
You need the development files for gtkmm (headers). These are usually in
packages like libgtkmm-2.0-dev which should be availible for your
distribution.
The configure script uses pkg-config to find the packages. You can ask
pkg-config if it knows if gtkmm:
# pkg-config --modversion gtkmm-2.0
