The configure command effects only the compiler used in your makefile
and has no effect on the tools used by Anjuta :-(
CC et. al. are set explicitly in your makefile.

I saw that it is possible to configure the commands under settings with
the very exception of the debugger. Note that these are unchanged, even
if you call configure --host=....
