[Anjuta-list] GTK2 project

I've tryed to build my first GTK2 project using anjuta 0.9.99.
I get the following error when running autogen.sh:
creating libtool
./configure: line 5869: syntax error near unexpected token `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(GTK,'
./configure: line 5869: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(GTK, gtk+-2.0 gdk-2.0,,exit)'
Maybe I am missing some environment variabile.
I've installed gtk2.0 and all other gtk2/gnome2 stuff with the --prefix=/usr/local/gnome2 option
