I am writing this message because there does not seem to be a trouble shooting guide, and these issues have not been found in a search of the archives. I am unsure which issues are even important, and which are not. In any case, I'd be thankful for any support you could provide.
I am using a sparc solaris 8 platform. After lots of trial and error, I compiled anjuta and all its dependent libraries on my machine. It runs. Now if I could just get the debug session to run. If there is anyone who is using or had experience setting up anjuta on a sparc solaris platform, please contact me privately in mail, and I could try to see if some of these problems are easier to solve.
When I start up anjuta, gnome-terminal complains: "Error on option --diable-factory: unknown option." I have found practically no information on this option anywhere in google. So I don't know what to do, in this case.
If I try a debug session, then a single step into the Hello world generated program yields something like the following:
PR_SYSEXIT: Exit from a traced system call Exit from SYS_execve
PR_SYSEXIT: Exit from a traced system call Exit from SYS_execve
PR_FAULTED: Incurred a traced hardware fault FLTBT: Breakpoint trap
PR_FAULTED: Incurred a traced hardware fault FLTTRACE: Trace trap
PR_FAULTED: Incurred a traced hardware fault FLTBT: Breakpoint trap
Reading symbols... done
PR_FAULTED: Incurred a traced hardware fault FLTTRACE: Trace trap
PR_FAULTED: Incurred a traced hardware fault FLTBT: Breakpoint trap
main() at main.cc:9
The single step never gets to the "Hello world!" line, no matter how many times I try it. It's very important for me to have debug ability inside anjuta. That's one of the reasons I got it.
The devhelp utility is giving me problems, in that I can't compile it. But it seems this is not really an important issue for getting started and running.
Thank you all for your help.
