[anjuta-devel] Status update

Hi Everyone,
Recently you might have noticed that I've been awfully quite lately, so
I want to update everyone on my status. Three weeks ago, I got a contact
from a recruiter looking for a GTK+ developer in the Las Vegas area.
Since then I've been going through the interview and pre-employment
processes.

I've been offered the job; I signed the contract today, formally
accepting a full time software engineer position with Konami Gaming, a
Las Vegas-based unit of the Japanese video game company that makes
interactive games and management systems for casinos around the world.
They use GTK for many of their system's user interfaces.

Per Konami policy, I can't work on any outside projects, including
open-source projects, until I get written approval from their
management. I really don't know how long it will take for this approval
to come through. So, until I get this sorted out I'm going to have to
put all of my hacking activity on hold until further notice.
Importantly, this also includes making releases, so I'm going to need
someone, probably Seb, to cover for me in the meantime.

But, I don't want to say goodbye to Anjuta just yet. Ideally, I would
like to continue in my current role here. But, I don't know what my
workload is going to be like. I start at Konami on Monday, so we'll see
how it goes.

In light of these developments, I think it would be a good time to
discuss who will take over for me should I decide that I can't continue
maintaining Anjuta anymore.

Thanks,
James
