[anjuta-devel] GDL placeholder

We are at the beginning of a development cycle and the project manager 
is working good enough. So I'm looking at something that could be more 
complex and is really important for Anjuta.

I'm thinking about working on GDL because it hasn't get much care 
recently and I would like to save the layout of hidden windows. This 
would be useful for the debugger which have several windows opened only 
when it is running and the git plugin.

The issue with GDL is that there is almost no documentation. Is there 
someone working on it?

By example, I have looked at GdlDockPlaceHolder. It seems that it's not 
used at all by Anjuta and I haven't seen any effect in the test program. 
What is their use? I have in mind that it could be used to replace an 
hidden dock item (a debugger window by example) but it's a wild guess at 
this point.
