Do you see this on first build? It might mean that you didn't install the development packages of glib/gtk+ etc. and as Ubuntu doesn't support PackageKit by default anjuta also cannot install them for you. Take a look here for instructions: https://live.gnome.org/DeveloperTools/Installation/Ubuntu
strange no 'working examples' are provided not that it makes 'glade' any easier to use ? right ?
