I seem to recall that someone was working on whole project search capabilities for Anjuta. I think that would be a very good item for me to either do or help with. However, being new to the code I could really use some pointers on where to begin. If someone is already working this, I would love to help. Otherwise, I don't mind doing it myself.
Thanks for your interest! Eugenia was working on this during her outreach program but I haven't heard back from her afterwards and I don't think there is any code for it yet. There is a tracker bug (containing obsolete patches for the old dialog): https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=545389 However I would encourage you to first do some dialog design in glade and post this here or in the bug for review. It isn't totally easy to get right, especially the file patterns. In general I like the idea of regexxer [1] where you first specify a pattern and it shows you the list of files to search for. We want to have some shortcuts though for "All project files", "All source files" and maybe some others. Maybe it is also convenient to have the search "dialog" as a dock. From the backend the whole searching should be asynchronous of course. Regards, Johannes [1] http://regexxer.sourceforge.net/
