This and the other things you report sound like they might be "Refactor
regressions - Keyecho" which I certainly did not mean to make but given
the size of the changes, I am not surprised. If you have keyecho related
issues with master which you didn't have before, please add them to this
bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667283
