Re: [orca-list] Two known problems with Orca v2.27.4

Hi Will
Just FYI though, the top panel icon tooltips did still speak with ctrl- f1, so the top panel was still useable if a bit odd to use, so if in future that fix needs to be put back in for something know that it doesn't render the top panel unuseable, just a bit awkward.

Hi All:

Just a heads up - there are two known problems with Orca v2.27.4.

One is that applets in the top panel no longer speak. This is due to the fix made for http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi? id=568696. I've reverted that fix in the git master branch so that the top panel will work again.

The other is that the patch to add experimental pauses into the speech output for http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=585417 included an errant comma at the end of a line. I've fixed that in the git master branch as well.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.
