I agree with this. Furthermore, it shouldn't be difficult to do. All that is
necessary is to make access to gnome-terminal work reliably and efficiently,
which is exactly the same problem as making any other application accessible.

While I'm not planning to do my console-level work from gnome-terminal in the
near future, I appreciate the reasons why providing this level of access is
necessary.

Of course, Linux must remain highly accessible directly from the virtual
consoles without X running.
