Hi there,

So I have tried the following, as per your blog:

creating:

/etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/30-mac-randomization.conf

and editing it:

[device-mac-randomization]
# "yes" is already the default for scanning
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=yes

[connection-mac-randomization]
ethernet.cloned-mac-address=random
wifi.cloned-mac-address=random

service network-manager restart

However I am observing the same results as the above. What am i doing
wrong? Is this what I i should be doing to have the same results as
"@reboot macchanger -r wlan0"?

above looks correct.

Hard to day why it doesn't work for you.

Can you show the logfile of NetworkManager with debug logging enabled?

  /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

  [logging]
  level=TRACE

restart NM, reproduce and send logfile.
(possibly redact the file for privacy, but not too much).
