Static address and resolvconf problem

Hi,
 I have Ubuntu 8.0, two network manager configurations corresponding to 
two locations: one when I'm at home with a static IP address, and the 
other for using wi fi with dynamic IP addressed.
 Everything worked well until I installed the resolvconf package.
 When I use the dynamic configuration there is no problem. If instead I 
select the static one, everything works fine until I reboot my machine.  
After a boot, the file /etc/resolv.conf has no entries (only default 
comments), and I must reselect the static configuration from network 
manager in order to get the static DNSs listed in /etc/resolv.conf
