Re: Problem connecting to an unsecured AP

I have heard that this is a problem with NDISWrapper and some windows
drivers, have you tried the BCM drivers?

Hi all,

I'm running into trouble connecting to unsecured wireless networks via
NetworkManager and was wondering if someone could give me a hand. WEP
and WPA Personal connections work fine when I select them from the
dropdown and configure their authentication methods and keys, but for
open/unsecured APs it just spins for a minute and fails. Manually
configuring the connection works fine.

I'm running Ubuntu 6.10 (also had this problem in 6.06) with a Dell
TrueMobile 1400 (Broadcom BCM4309) using ndiswrapper.

Thanks in advance,

Brian Guthrie
