Sorry, it took a while before I got back to this. But yes, as far as I
could see, that change indeed helped make the SSL-wrapped libsoup
sockets behave in a more reliable way. I am not 100% sure, there is so
much other flakiness going on in my test case, but that was my
impression. (My "test" app is Evolution, and the SSL wrapping used by
the connections to a GroupWise server, so it is extremely far from
being a minimal test case...) Hopefully you have some more minimal and
more easily verifiable tests on Linux...
