I don't know, it's maybe related to environment variables. You can force the use of evince in the preferences, as a workaround. Anyway for the next version of LaTeXila, xdg-open is no longer used. Instead, a GTK+ function is used, which is the preferred way to open external files. Best regards, Sébastien
