Hi,
	I finally managed to get some free time to give this patch some love :)
I just uploaded a libnotify solution which seems to work nicely on my
PC.

	The problem with the applet was probably an extra file I have added,
which I remove anyways, so no problem any more. The applet installs and
runs fine. Thanks for the help!

I hope you like the feature and comments are always welcome.
