Pango-1.1x build problems... Solaris 10/AMD64

Hey all,

I'm sure I'm doing something stupid but in the (little) time I have had the
last 3 weeks to ferret out the problem..... I've failed.  Hoping some of you
more familiar with Pango can point me in the right direction.  I've tried with
versions 1.13.0, 1.14.7 1.14.8 and 1.15.0 and the net results are pretty much
the same.

The config process seems to find everything and ends with:

Make (gmake) fails pretty quickly though with:

Fontconfig-2.41, FreeType-9.10.3, xrender-0.8.3, Glib-2.12.0, libpng.2.13, cairo.1.2.6 are all there ( as is a boatload of other stuff in /usr/openwin....

I get the same outcome with GCC-4.1.1, GCC-3.4.3 and Sun Studio 11.  

I realize it's probably something stupid that I'm missing..... so please be
kind when pointing it out to me.  I'm not the best with GNU autotools, pkg-config, Gnome.... etc (yet)
