Hi,

Using Gnumeric 1.6.3, under Debian Sarge/Etch with Gnome 2.14.3.

I'm trying to copy and paste cells between two Gnumeric notebooks. I
select the cells I need in one, copy them, try to paste them into the
other and get an error: "Unparsable xml in clipboard." I'm then
presented with the Text Import Configuration dialog. Since I'm trying to
copy and paste a lot of formulae, this isn't particularly helpful.

Is it possible to do this?

This sounds like some sort of bug. Try to open both files in the same
instance of gnumeric and it shouldn't even go through the xml stage of
the clipboard. (Open the files from the file-open menu of the same
gnumeric window).

Are you running anything that steals the clipboard like "klipper"?
