hello all! i'm interested in contributing to autofilter support. i've

i notice that the TODO has autofilter as an "?" so i'm assuming no one else
is working on it. i'm trying to find documentation on the design of
gnumeric. is there a more recent and comprehensive document than
"/doc/Design" which is from 1999? i'm especially interested in data
structures for the cells, worksheets, rows, columns, etc. and the
objects/modules/whatever that encapsulate them. also any sort of dependency
graphs that show the modularity of the code at a higher level than just the
source would be nice. in short, how do i become familiar with the code?

Grief, it looks like lots of old email is arriving tonight. I
wonder what got flushed where.

Autofilter support would be very much appreciated. The code is in
good shape to work on this sort of project now. There is not alot
of design documentation on the current state of things. However,
the code is quite well documented and there are lots of internal
examples of how to handle the various apis.

Your best bet will be to get cvs HEAD building from source and to
drop by #gnumeric on irc.gnome.org, or to ping me or the mailing
list with your questions. I've started work on importing filters
from xls but there are still a few open issues.

Sorry for the long delay,
    Jody
