Nope. There is no way to do so *reliably*

tl;dr it is a lot of work to be able to.

The longer form: ABI for the libraries and a proper API / ABI for gnote
itself.

So the only way to get compiled add-ins working
is to compile both gnote and the add-ins in the same environment?
