It's tricky and annoying -- if it hasn't been fixed already, I'll check its
state and fix it.

No, there should never have been any overlap. d-d-l gets a bunch of stupidly
general stuff because people assume it's The Central List, but it's not. It
is meant for desktop development discussion only.
