I'm wondering -- in future releases, can you add a feature to allow us to select a default directory in which to save documents? It would really help.

Also, is there an add-in thesaurus that we can use?

A Google search for [gedit thesaurus] reveals nothing that will run in gedit directly, though this tool wi ll apparently find definitions for words selected in gedit:
