I didn't say that some sort of automation couldn't be implemented, just
that it hasn't yet. Volunteers more than welcome.

Right now, the note taking is done through a gobby instance. Given that
gedit has collaboration tools, and support for some versions of gobby
server, it could be done through a custom plugin. Would be a neat trick.
