[Evolution] Trouble building Evolution 1.2.1

I have Mandrake 8.1 and, as such, can find no binaries for Evolution
1.2.1. I'm trying to build from source but having a problem with
configure. 

I am running configure with the following line (obviously all on one
line):

./configure
--with-db3-includes=/home/rick-gnome/berkeleydb-3.1.17/include
--with-db3-libs=/home/rick-gnome/berkeleydb-3.1.17/lib

When it runs, it aborts with the following message:

checking for Bonobo... not found
configure: error: 

You need Bonobo 1.0.3 or higher to build evolution
If you think you already have this installed, consult the README.


Well, I have bonobo-1.0.21-1 installed (it's the ximian package)

I've checked the README several times but no matter what I do, I get the
same error.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
