Re: [Evolution] Quick fix...

Just a short message to everyone out there like me who is running the

Evo is a lot better now!

Unfortunately, for me this leads to a rats' nest of dependencies.
Tracking these down, the problem is ORBit. The Eazel RPMs require their
version of ORBit (5.7), but the Ximian RPMs depend on 5.6, and rpm
reports that Ximian's 5.6 is newer than Eazel's 5.7. I could force this,
but I would rather not end with a completely broken installation.

The real solution is for the RH 6.2 distribution to be fixed by Ximian.
Looking at the snapshot build reports, the failures have consistently
been due to ``permission denied'', which suggests something wrong with
their build setup (lack of space?), not code problems.

It's hard for us RH 6.2 users to continue to help with reporting our
experiences with Evo when this big composer problem is still there for
us. I won't pretend to set Ximian's priorities, but this lack of fresh
snapshots for RH 6.2 since Jan 30 is getting old fast.
