Official SEED extension support for 2.28?

Hi epiphany-list,

As far as I can see, Epiphany/WebKit currently has a good chance to make
it into GNOME 2.28.

This however will break most (if not all?) existing extensions. I see
this as a great opportunity to officially switch the extensions system
to SEED.

Writing browser extensions in JS seems to be a natural thing to do. SEED
seems to be well supported and nice to work with. It is also currently
proposed to be included in the platform¹, and other modules will also
make use of it.

Delaying the switch to SEED would mean that many popular C/Python
extensions would (have to) be ported to Epiphany/WebKit for or shortly
after 2.28. Introducing SEED for 2.30 would then result in a useless
duplication of work.

The only thing I am concerned about is the stability of the SEED API in
the near future, maybe one of the developers could comment on this?
Currently SEED master seems to work fine with Epiphany master, but will
the be any more breakage before GNOME 2.28?

Cheers,
-Michael
