Epiphany is slowly moving towards using WebKit as the backend, but at least
the 2.26 series will be based on Gecko.
Anyway, your statement that you "really need permanent Gecko support" could
use some clarification: why exactly do you need it? What rules other browser
engines out? WebKit is designed to be very compatible to content "out there
in the wild". I'm sure the WebKit people would want to hear about your
concerns.
