It works by being constantly maintained: whenever somebody finds an ad, he emails the author (who calls himself "g") and the author updates the blacklist. At the time I wrote the extension, the blacklist was updated every two or three days, if I recall correctly. And I'd never see any ads. I don't know whether the blacklist is still maintained as expediently. Adam
