[Ekiga-list] Video issues with Ekiga 3.0.2 on Windows Vista, Dell Inspiron 1525

I'm an Ubuntu user very dependent on video softphone technology. I was
a Skyper for some time, but have recently been exploring Ekiga,
attracted by its compliance with standards and commitment to open
source. Recent frustrations with Skype and PulseAudio have made me
want to switch over completely.

Ekiga 3.2.0 works great on my system! (Ubuntu 9.04, Dell Inspiron
1520), but it's key that my girlfriend get it working too. She's
installed 3.0.2 for Windows on her Dell Inspiron 1525 (Vista) machine;
when we call each other, audio sends and receives fine on both ends,
and she gets my video, but hers won't show (not even on locally, I
think). She's told me that the only two choices available for the
video input device in Preferences are Moving Logo and "Microsoft WDM
Image Capture (win32) (ptli...", the second one selected by default
and presumably corresponding to the built-in webcam we're trying use.
(Note: This camera *does* work in other applications.) The selected
size is 176x144, format NTSC (America) and channel 0, but messing with
any of these settings doesn't seem to help.

Can anybody offer insight regarding the compatibility of Ekiga with
her system, and/or how to proceed with troubleshooting? Sorry for not
providing more specific details, but since we don't live in the same
city, I can't see for myself what's happening on her machine.

Thanks in advance for your comments!
Evan Murphy
