[xslt] [PATCH] patterns.c can dereference NULL when node has no parent

Hey all:

Please find a patch attached that fixes a problem we saw crop up here. I was unable to create a simple test case, so it is possible that it is an artifact of how we use libxslt, but I think the fix is good regardless.

I think the patch speaks for itself, but I would be happy to answer any questions.
