[xml] Attribute set bug

Hi all,

sorry for raising this on this list, I am not sure how appropriate it is
to highlight a bug here. But: it would be great if someone could look at
  https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=704071
and tell me if you consider this a bug too & I'd be even more happy if
someone decided to fix it.

Alternatively, any workarounds are welcome, at least if they prevent my
having to replace the entire DocBook stylesheets with my version.
