[xml] Searching for libxml2-python for MacOSX

Has anyone succeeded in building the libxml2-python and libxslt-python 
modules for MacOSX 10.3 (Panther) from the 'libxml2-python module 
distribution' ?

I get loads of warnings, finishing with 'error: command 'gcc' failed 
with exit status 1'.
