[xml] Problems installing on OpenBSD

OK...

I tried checking the archive on the web site of this list... could find no referances to OpenBSD
(i tried... thought I may have missed something)

I have a fresh install of OpenBSD 3.0...

I want to install the libxml2...
I downloaded the libxml2-2.4.17.tar.gz
expand it out... run configure, make, make install

and on the make install it gives me the following error

make: don't know how to make install-data-local. Stop in /root/libxml2-2.4.17/python.

so I am thinking that for some strange reason that Python needs to be installed...

I install Python 2.2 and it still gives me that error

does anybody have anyidea?
