[xml] Libxml2 and Mac OS X 10.1.1?

Has anyone compiled this on the Mac OS X 10.1.1 client?  I keep 
getting 'Compiler not ANSI compliant' errors during 
./configure.  The OS X compiler is a GNU ANSI variant.  If I 
comment out the final ANSI test in the 'configure' file it 
installs, but is not complete.  Likewise, libxslt doesn't 
recognize the half-baked install and quits on configure.  Any 
ideas would be greatly appreciated.
