[Tracker] Nepomuk-mozilla (was Re: [people] [Usercontext] I need some help)

Hi all,

(Added tracker mailing list in CC)

Tracker (unreleased branch, codename "decomposed tracker" [1]) is using
the Nepomuk ontologies[1], so _in theory_ it could act as backend for
that firefox extension[2] in GNOME.

I am just talking "in theory", because i haven't read the code of the
extension. Is it using plain SparQL? Is it using a nepomuk library? It
would be a very interesting experiment to test:

 a) the compatibility of tracker with nepomuk
 b) use nepomuk with different backends

I dont have time to work on this, but if any volunteer decides to try,
count with my/our support on the tracker side. Maybe it could even be a
good topic for a Summer of Code proposal?

Regards,

Ivan Frade
