We're doing a double-check policy on the gnome-shell and Mutter side -
I've asked people to get approval from me as well as the release team
and I'm double reviewing patches and trying to make sure that they are
worth doing for 3.0.0. (I've pushed off roughly half of things I've
considered to 3.0.1 at this point.) So I wouldn't treat freeze
break requests to be asking the release-team to personally review and
test patches and vouch for them in detail. (Though I'll never object to
extra pairs of eyes.)

We're mostly trying to a) make sure that the release-team has track of
what's going in b) make sure that the changes we want to make are in
line with GNOME policies.
