Correct. There's a few remnants of HAL left in the DeviceKit version,
for instance for setting the brightness for legacy panels, but otherwise
you're correct. Note: The new version is a fraction of the old version
code size as not it's all partitioned correctly with DeviceKit-power.
Same feature set.
