Hello,

I have discovered an issue wherein pressing backspace does not speak what has been erased while typing into a bulleted list in Gmail. To reproduce, do the following:

  * With Orca enabled, open Firefox and navigate to Gmail.
  * Make sure that standard mode is enabled, not basic HTML mode, and
    focus mode is sticky.
  * Compose a new message or reply to an existing one.
  * When focus is focused in the body, press ctrl+shift+8 to create a
    bulleted list.
  * Type a few characters.
  * Press backspace and observe what is verbalized.

Expected: It is expected that the erased character is announced.

Actual: Nothing is announced.

This occurs with Firefox stable and latest Orca master.
