Re: [orca-list] not finding braille contraction tables after manual installation

Do you have liblouis and its header files installed? I know that's obvious, but let's rule it out to begin
with.

I've manually installed orca on my ubuntu 18.04LTS system. It's in
    /usr/local/bin.
    Running /usr/local/bin/orca -r -s
gets me the preferences as hoped but when I try to configure braille
contraction tables there's nothing showing in the combo box. A debug
log also says combo box reports no children.
make clean; autogen.southern hemisphere; make; make install
doesn't change this. I remember something from a thread a while back
on the order of installing liblouis or brltty or something similar.
    Can someone remind me?
    thanks in advance
