Hi Christopher.

Normally you shouldn't start Orca from a terminal because you'll get
spew like this any time the application you're using wants to report a
warning or error. Just ignore it. Consider using a shortcut like the
built-in Alt+Super+S to launch Orca instead. You can also launch it from
the run dialog.

reproduce on any of my other Mate 18.10 systems.
