Re: [orca-list] Sonar does not like user name

You could try creating the user name as Sonar's installer wishes and then going back in using command line
and useradd to your heart's content.

Not yet, but I have done this in Ubuntu, and I'm just wondering if Sonar has a strange installer that has
different requirements than Ubuntu.

Did you try it without the capital letter?

Hi,
I'm trying to install Sonar, and Close is the only option.
I had my son read the window, and he said that the message says that
there is an invalid character in the user name.
It is a 4-letter name and I capitalized it.
I have done this in Ubuntu before, same name with no problem.
Also, part of the password has the name in it that is in the user name
field, but again, I have done this in Ubuntu with no problem.
Is there something strange about the Sonar installation?
Thanks for any assistance.

Glenn
