I was using ff 29.0.1, but I had problems -- the Bard site would not
work at all, so I went back to 24.5 which is the next oldest one.    The
only h264 item in my distro is a script to encode h264, but I am sure I
have recent libraries otherwise.

YouTube is working here with Firefox and HTML 5 video. From memory, some of
the videos are encoded using AAC audio and H.264 video codecs, for which
you'll need a recent Firefox and possibly other libraries to be installed.
