Re: [orca-list] Who is in control of Orca commits now?

Hi Bill:

I've moved back to Ubuntu since it tends to be the distribution that
gives me things closest to the bleeding edge. For example, they tend to
make packages from GNOME development tarballs available within hours of
their release. This is by its nature somewhat unstable, but it gives me
a better feeling of where things are.

I spoke with Ubuntu mid-to-late last year, by the way, about setting up
a WIKI where community members could share their current "state of
Ubuntu accessibility" experiences with nightly updates. The idea is
that community members comfortable with living and experimenting on the
bleeding edge could keep some sort of dashboard for others to look at
before they pressed the "update" or "upgrade" buttons.

I'll follow up with them to see if we can get this going if: 1) people
think it would be useful, and 2) people are willing to step up to help
set it up and maintain it.

Hi, Joanie. If you are the only ones doing this work, is there any
chance you could be tempted to switch development to some flavor of
Linux? I think you'd attract a larger volunteer community working in
Linux rather than Sun OS.

Thanks,
Bill

Will and I are still the maintainers.

Are there any Sun empolyees left who in any way maintain or enhance
Orca? Who is in control of this project? Sorry for my ignorance on
the matter.
